For those of us who stayed 

home   a trip to Safeway

was a glass of champagne

and we found our thoughtful 

neighbors had helped 

relieve us of decision fatigue 

by clearing the shelves of 

extraneous options like bread

Tylenol  and toilet paper

still   that cavernous space 

haunted by the swift and silent

masked   felt like a revelation
