Their natural welcome conjured
pure beauty and grace, bright and
simple as a suggestive breath.
We basked in the bespoke glow
of that willing family: each
a single filament woven into
a vast, sumptuous tapestry; each
emitting a special blue hum,
a cheerful, classical palette,
subtle and beautiful.
What we hoped, what they thought,
a ballet of peacocks and dragonflies
in the gloaming.
