Blanket of Hope (Poem 223)

In the sky, fragile
beauty, a shimmering
memory transformed
by magical hues,
their shivering petals
rustle a scarce-heard
song of blooming
dawn and sunset glow,
a blanket of hope, drawn
around the fretful fallen
and the world, lost
in heedless slumber
around them
