Centering

Centering 

on the mere 

sliver 

of shell-pink 

moon, 

she sensed, 

     beneath her 

     sabulous feet, 

the Earth, 

revolving—

     a potters wheel, 

and she, 

a vessel, turned 

and shaped 

by the transparent 

fingers of cool, 

     mineral breezes.
