Is there something to say
about Christmas?
It eludes me and has
ever since.
All the gifts we have
not wrapped gifts
we will never give
a place remains beneath
the tree we did not buy
or trim because.
And all the memories
we shared together apart
are best left carefully packed
and stored undisturbed
until.
if ever.
