Hovering Around the Edges (Day 474)

a poem 

is hovering 

around the edges 

of the day 

I may sweep it up 

with a broom 

and dust pan 

just so I can 
scatter the words

across a page 

like a packet 

of seeds  add water 

and wait 

to see what grows

Slowly, seasons rise.

Cicadas dream of flying.

Snapping Tulip flags.

Violets keep their own counsel.

Consider the unfallen rain.
