feverish depths of
moisture condensing
at the accustomed hour
melting patiently
unravelling meandering
mysteries in the wavering
violet of old-house windows
hear: cicadas crickets
firing up butterflies
somersaulting settling
like eider-down
on the heavy red aura
of an oddly-empty street
