Parkland (Day 566)

Words lie
smoldering   hours
in the dark  twisted
wreckage scarring
the peaceful parkland
where we dreamt  ours
the hypnotic slumber
of a child  willfully
  innocent  trusting
what we owned
  complacent  careless
until it was gone
